First Electric Trucks Introduced into Domestic Transport – Advancing Low-Emission Logistics

Coca-Cola HBC Serbia has introduced its first electric trucks for product transportation as part of its ongoing initiatives to enhance sustainable operations and reduce CO₂ emissions. This initiative marks an important step toward more modern and sustainable transport and forms part of the company's broader efforts to improve the sustainability of its supply chain through close collaboration with its partners.

The four new heavy-duty electric trucks, now operating in Serbia's domestic road transport network, carry Coca-Cola HBC Serbia products along the approximately 370-kilometre one-way route between Belgrade and Vlasina. This route is also the company's longest transport corridor, ensuring full utilization of the vehicles' operational capacity.

Compared with conventional diesel trucks, the company estimates that the four electric vehicles combined will reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 200 tons per year.

Investing in electric vehicles as an innovative transport solution represents an important step in the continued transformation of our transport system and overall operations toward greater sustainability. Logistics is one of the key areas where we can achieve significant emissions reductions. This initiative demonstrates how we are turning our ambitions into concrete actions while building a more efficient and future-ready supply chain.

The vehicles are fully equipped for logistics operations, while charging takes place in Nova Pazova and Leskovac at charging stations equipped with solar panels, further supporting the use of renewable energy.
