The results of this Study, which was presented at this year’s Kopaonik Business Forum during the panel discussion “Why Global Players Are (Still) Domestic Companies”, show that a total of 343 million euros in taxes and contributions were paid across the entire value chain, which makes 1.3% of total tax revenues of the Republic of Serbia. At the same time, out of totally contributed tax, 76 million euros were paid directly by the Coca-Cola system and Bambi Company.
The Study confirmed that the retail sector traditionally benefits significantly from the business activities of these companies, with value added EUR 166 million generated through it.
The Study demonstrated that across entire value chain, the companies supported 22,600 jobs representing 0.75% of the total number of employees in Serbia. The Coca-Cola System and Bambi Company directly employ 1,788 people and each job in these companies supports an additional 11 jobs in the broader value chain.
