Coca-Cola HBC is one of the first companies setting science-based goals in the area of sustainability, that are fully aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations and we continuously work on their fulfilment. The focus is on six areas (represented by 17 goals) that depict our value chain: emissions reduction, water use and management, responsible sourcing, packaging (World Without Waste), nutrition and our people and communities.
Coca-Cola HBC Group committed to achieving an ambitious environmental goal in 2021 – to reduce, by 2040, all direct gas emissions with greenhouse effect to an absolute minimum, while partnering with our suppliers to eliminate 90% of our carbon footprint generated by third parties. Where it is not possible to fully eliminate greenhouse effect gas emissions, their effect shall be reduced or fully removed through investments in other climate change protection measures. By 2030, the plan is to reduce supply chain emissions by 25%, that is, by additional 50% in the next decade.
