YOUTH SPORTS GAMES - A SPORTS STORY CONNECTING THE REGION

The most massive annual amateur sports event for children and youth, the Youth Sports Games, is held for the 11th time in Serbia. The Coca-Cola system recognized the importance and, from the very beginning, supported this initiative in Serbia, which aims to encourage the adoption of healthy lifestyle behaviors among the youngest through sports, socializing and education. 

At the ceremony to announce the new Youth Sports Games ambassador, the legendary German football player Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, apart from the new ambassador, spoke the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, European Commissioner for Budget and Administration Johannes Hahn, President of the Youth Sports Games Zdravko Marić, as well as the General Manager of Coca-Cola HBC Serbia and Montenegro Svetoslav Atanasov.

We see Youth Sports Games as an important bridge that connects children and their families across the region, promoting the values of understanding, diversity, and fair play. And not only that - it also promotes caring for our planet. But above all - this event speaks of friendship and togetherness, values deeply rooted in our corporate culture.

This is already the third year the Youth Sports Games are part of the global Coca-Cola initiative "A World Without Waste." Through the environmental protection workshop and training ground "Zero Waste - Be part of the game - Let's protect our planet," the goal is to gather as many young people as possible around the idea of the importance of each individual in protecting the environment. 

Over 2,700,000 children and young people have participated in the Youth Sports Games during 27 years of its organization in Croatia, 10 years in Serbia, and 13 years in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Youth Sports Games are organized under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee and UEFA (Union of European Football Associations).
